Digital Design

In late 2018, I became the lead designer for the Charlotte Airport mobile app and website. Both digital products provides passengers with up-to-date information about their upcoming flight and try to alleviate stress before, during and after their airport visit.

Responsibilities

My work involved on-site visits where I carried out extensive UX research, bringing that into ideation/concepting workshops, hands-on designing the website and mobile app and defining a feature roadmap for the coming 2 years.

One of the challenges in this project was the lack of an digital brand guideline. With only a multi-color logo and a 16 year old website to work with, it was necessary to create updated brand guidelines for digital products. The end result was a balance between respecting the old and making room (literally) for the new.

The new design works well with their current logo and color palette, but is adaptable enough to handle new brand assets and color palettes.
